Join me, let’s support good in our community and make a difference. Help us purchase a building on Grand Ave for The Learning Council!

I joined the board of The Learning Council this year and I am so excited about the work they are doing! This is a huge step to be able to own their own building and continue to do the amazing work they are doing. OH AND THERE WILL STILL BE ICE CREAM!!! Just a small donation will go a long way to helping me meet my goal for The Learning Council (TLC). The Learning Council celebrates and cultivates the character of our locale: education, diversity and ally-ship, arts, agriculture, nourishing food, and wellness. As a community organization, they provide safe equitable spaces for all to flourish.

We believe that everyone should have access to community education, nutritional support, and advocacy services. When each person is equipped with these tools, they become lifelong learners: empowered to live healthy bountiful lives filled with curiosity and passion. We believe that these folks make up the fabric of our vibrant community in the North Fork Valley.

What our rural community needs is a place for teens to be themselves, access to resources in education and nutrition, a lively downtown area after years of economic challenges, a celebration of diversity and culture, and space for varying voices to converse and reconcile.

By purchasing a building on Grand Avenue, The Learning Council will provide access to our services for all community members. TLC is working to meet the needs of our community through many perennial offerings. Our hub will be the home of all of our programming while cultivating the spirit of education.
