$10,950 towards $12,000

The Buell Foundation is matching $41,000 worth of donations to help TLC purchase the building. Double your donation!

The Learning Council is making a HUGE impact in our community. Here's why I am excited about their new location in Downtown Paonia:

I have been working for TLC since June of 2020 as an administrator. Never before have I held a job that felt so aligned with what I wish to see for the world. Every day I get to work towards bettering our community through education, nutrition, and advocacy. I have seen the difference that our offerings make in people's lives, from attending a Food Preservation Workshop to dancing at an African Drum and Dance event. People are so grateful to eat a nutritious community meal every week, attend our Arbol Farmers Market for 6 months of the year, and dance with us in the streets at an LGBTQ demonstration.

I truly feel that our work brings vitality to the people we serve. This organization gets people excited about living on the beautiful western slope of Colorado. In a rural setting, it's extraordinary to see so much abundance, diversity, and creativity happening in one place. That's why purchasing this building is SO IMPORTANT in the work that The Learning Coucnil does!

A downtown location would allow TLC to reach even more people, enriching their lives through classes, food, and safe spaces. This organization is cultivating a community of lifelong learners who are changing the narrative about what living rural means.

Your support will help TLC achieve big goals for years to come. You can inspire the next generation of learners and dreamers. Donate today!
