Join me, let’s support good in our community and make a difference. Help us purchase a building on Grand Ave for The Learning Council!

Seven Years is a long service endeavor for an organization I believe in. I joined The Learning Council Board of Directors initially to help with the creation of a public Waldorf Inspired School and the commitment grew from there. Many of you know me for my commitment to Biodynamic Agriculture, Anthroposophy, and Waldorf education. From sponsorship of two National Biodynamic conferences to countless local events,The Learning Council has been instrumental in placing our valley in the spotlight as a mecca for practical, down to earth education for a changing Earth. If education is happening in arts, life skills, new agrarian culture, spirituality, children's growth and development, nutrition for body mind and spirit, social justice, or just a good ole community get together, chances are that The Learning Council is involved in support. Miraculously, as a small organization, we have managed to accomplish this with minimal infrastructure. Now, due to the exponential growth in demand for our services, and the need for available spaces for education, we are poised to make the commitment of a true gift to our community. Won't you help make this gift a reality?

TLC has been serving the North Fork Valley for over 23 years by providing alternative educational opportunities, nourishing local food, and advocacy for all through the gift model. We have not had a space to call our own in our community. The historic building in downtown Paonia, previously our library, has a special significance and deserves honoring in our community. This building will house all of our perennial programs under one roof, establishing a hub for all to learn and thrive!
